I’m interested in your Captivate Secure product, too. Please let me know when you make it available.

On a related topic, I need code to secure a web page so users can login only if they have a provided password. Do you have any suggestions for resources?

Hi Marion,

The product is available - send me a mail at admin@captivate4.com and I'll give you some more info.

As for the weblogin. How secure does it need to be? You could opt for a simple solution using the .htaccess file (google it for references) to secure the content of a specific directory on your server.

If it is a login system for a website it's a bit more complex and the .htaccess wouldn't really be enough. Then it all depends on what type of website and what type of content you are trying to restrict access to.

Hi Patrick,

I sent you an email with a more extensive reply.

As a short note.

1) Yep it would work.

2) Yep it would work.

;o)

Another option is to integrate the Captivate Secure code into the playbar that you are using, but it's a rather complicated process.

Hi,

I am quite interested in your Captivate Secure product. I have just 2 questions. You mentioned that the playbar needs to be off for your product to work.

1)Would the protection work if the first frame had a button that loads the 2nd frame? For example, (www.gmatfix.com/flashcards_verbal.shtml)

2) Would the protection work if the playbar were OFF in the first frame but ON in the 2nd frame?

Hope you read this. I'm on a tight deadline :-)
On flashden, I am user "Rygaar".

Thank you
