In the new Adobe Captivate 5.5 there are no news on the widget front. No new stock widgets, and no major changes to the Widget API.
All commercial widgets from www.cpguru.com have been tested with Adobe Captivate 5.5 and works without any problem:

The free widgets offered for download yet, have not been tested as of yet, but I can’t see why they wouldn’t work in Adobe Captivate 5.5.
