The Bookmark / Resume widget has been updated

The last couple of days I have been “overhauling” the bookmark widget for Adobe Captivate 3 and 4.

I had a couple of clients that had some issues with the component when it was used in a course produced in Adobe Captivate 3 and was distributed through their LMS.

I found out that some LMS had some system settings that interfered with the Bookmark / Resume widget and therefore it wouldn’t work. This issue is only related to the Captivate 3 version when deployed through some LMS’s with some particular settings.

Nevertheless I have now updated the component so it should work properly on all LMS’s.

In addition to the bug fix for the Adobe Captivate 3 component I have also (finally) finished the new version of the Bookmark / Resume widget, which allows you to pass a variable through a text entry box from Adobe Captivate 4.

The component has actually been finished for quite some time now, but I haven’t had time to test it thoroughly until now.

This component will allow you to associate a standard Text Entry Box with the component.  It will then use this variable when it stores the bookmark locally. Basically this means that you will be able to keep individual bookmarks for your users on shared computers.

The page – https://www.cpguru.com/2009/05/04/captivate-bookmark-widget/ – has been updated with the relevant details.

All existing buyers have received an email containing the new updated files. If you have bought this component and NOT received the updated versions by email please send me an email through the contact form.
